Accra Great Olympics has some standout players like Gladson Awako, Isaac Mensah, and Michael Kweku Osei. Adding to their legacy, former German soccer star Lothar Matthäus joined them as a board member and shareholder in May 2023.

Ashanti Gold Sporting Club, commonly known as AshGold, is one of the most famous Ghanaian football teams from the gold mining town of Obuasi, located south of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. Established in 1978 by employees of the Ashanti Goldfields Corporation, initially named Goldfields Sporting Club, the team quickly became popular.

Although they haven't replicated their earlier cup successes, AshGold remains a formidable force in the Ghana Premier League. Under the ownership of Dr. Kwaku Frimpong and the leadership of Chairman Champion Divine, the club continues to succeed.

Their home matches are played at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi, with a capacity of 30,000 spectators, providing an electric atmosphere for fans to support their beloved team.

Medeama has also played on the continental stage, representing Ghana in Pan-African Cups. Derrick Fordjour, Darlington Gyanfosu, and Manuel Mantey are notable players who contribute to the team's success.

Berekum Chelsea FC

Berekum Chelsea Football Club, once known as Bechem Chelsea Football Club, is a professional team from Berekum, Bono Region, Ghana. They play in the Ghana Premier League – the country's top football league.

Formed on July 21, 2004, in the Brong Ahafo Region, they worked their way up from lower leagues to join the Ghana Premier League in 2008 after winning their Division One League zone. The club's name was later changed to Berekum Chelsea on advice from the Ghana Football Association.

Bechem United Football Club, known as the "Hunters," is a professional team from Bechem in the Ahafo Region, Ghana. Established in 1966, they have a long-standing rivalry with Brong Ahafo (BA) Stars and Berekum Chelsea.

In 2011, they climbed up to the Glo Premier League after winning their zone in the Poly Tank Division One League. Their debut season in the top flight started with a 1-1 draw against Aduana Stars, where Richard Addae stood out as their top scorer.

Their big moment came in the 2015–2016 season when they won the Ghanaian FA Cup, defeating Okwawu United 2–1 in the final, thanks to Yaw Annor's double.

Playing at the Nana Gyeabour’s Park in Bechem, Bechem United finished third in the 2022–2023 Ghana Premier League. Their team includes players like Emmanuel Avornyo, Francis Twene, and Clinton Duodu.

New Edubiase FC

New Edubiase Football Club, also known as New Edubiase FC, is a professional team from New Edubiase, a town in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Established in 2000, they've steadily risen in Ghanaian football.
